Post-Acute and Long-Term Care conference for physicians, medical directors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and health care professionals.

For those joining us live, we will have great networking, and lunch will be provided.

Medical Direction & Leadership in Assisted Living - Daniel Haimowitz, MD, FACP, CMD & Alfred Johnson & Q&A
The growing medical complexity of residents of assisted living facilities (ALF), combined with the increased need for infection control expertise, makes it a good time to introduce medical direction to the ALF community. The session also will review the need for an expert medical advisor historically in ALF, discuss how COVID 19 helped define the role of ALF medical director, and propose an approach to implementation of the role across the country.

Cwazy for QAPI: A Practical Guide for Medical Director and IDT Engagement

No fishbone diagrams or incidence/prevalence calculations here! This is a “how to” session for thinking about, organizing, running and evaluating quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) meetings. Improved engagement will help process improvement, a crucial difference from performance. Our speakers are experts in QAPI, data analysis and medical direction, and will discuss common barriers in QAPI meetings and present videos and practical tips and tools that QAPI team members can use to overcome challenges and improve team functioning upon returning to their facilities. This will be an interactive session, where both novice and experienced interdisciplinary team (IDT) members are welcome to ask questions and share their best practices.

Live Virtual Sessions Enriching our conference lineup, our live virtual speakers will join us remotely to share their expertise and insights. Despite not being physically present, their impactful presentation will be seamlessly integrated, delivering valuable knowledge to our attendees.  Both virtual and in-person attendees will be able to ask and answer questions.

Education Credits

Wis-PALTCM will apply for CME, ABIM MOC and CMD credits through AMDA's joint provider program. This education has not been submitted.   

EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

The fall conference brings together physicians, medical directors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants from across Wisconsin.  Our typical attendance is between 40-50 attendees.  We also opened attendance to virtual attendees.  We are following ACCME guidelines for exhibitors that requires attendees agree to provide their name and contact information on released attendee lists.  However, you are free to contact any attendee that provides you their contact information during the exhibit.  

The cost of the exhibit is $300. Please register using the link BELOW.  Space is limited to FIVE exhibitors.

Exhibitors are provided a 8 foot skirted table, two chairs and up-to, two lunches.  

Sponsorship opportunity are available to host our Thursday night networking event, Friday breakfast speaker, Registration Sponsor, and others.  Please contact Melissa@WAMD.org for sponsorship opportunities. 

No refund is provided for cancellations within 60 days of the conference start.  Please contact Melissa@WAMD.org with questions or cancellation requests. A $30 cancellation charge will be deducted from refunds that are requested prior to the 60 day cutoff.
